I have used Starling a great deal. When developing in ActionScript for AIR, I use it almost exclusively. When developing in OpenFL for non-AIR targets, it’s not as necessary to always use it as OpenFL closed the gap a bit, but sometimes it’s still beneficial, particularly when using spritesheets.
