Graphics.readGraphicsData in HTML5 - a whole bunch of nothing

I’m trying to read some GraphicsPath.data/commands values in an HTML5 app, but there’s nowt there, they both just say ‘undefined’ in Chrome.
I guess this isn’t a feature of OpenFL outside of the Flash target.
Why is this?
What can I do alternatively to look at the vectors and values that make up a Graphic during runtime?
