Rendering resolution on retina MacBook

I’m on Yosemite 10.10.4 and OpenFl (or Lime for that matter) always renders only at window size instead of the native resolution (e.g. 1280x800 instead of 2560x1600) when using native or neko targets.

I’ve found a commit in Lime ( https://github.com/openfl/lime/pull/465#event-323826486 ) that looks as if this has already been patched, so I’m wondering if this is a regression or if I’m just missing some configuration etc.

This pull request also looks interesting: https://github.com/openfl/lime/pull/485#partial-pull-merging but I didn’t manage to compile a working dev version this patch.

What’s the current status concerning OS X retina support?

It seems the patch you saw has been reverted because it wasn’t working correctly

SDL has a hint for allowing high DPI, but I don’t know what this does to the GL context size, or how it works with the window size, etc. Really, this needs to be walked out more, I don’t have a high-DPI Mac so there’s no way I can test it. I including the above commit blind and had to revert due to problems people saw :slight_smile:
