When I tried to run HelloWorldExample got the following error:

Uncaught exception - [file_open,Export/windows/neko/bin/HelloWorld.exe]

hxcpp: 3.2.180 [3.2.193]

file_open exception is caused due to the program being run as a Process in the background. If it’s still running and you can’t see it, open Task Manager and close the
HelloWorld.exe manually. Also, Neko projects tend to take a while to free from memory before the executable is finally closed. So when you make changes, it’s likely it’s still running when you build.
Is this happening more than once?
Also, I would not recommend using the dev version of Lime unless you’re specifically testing new features.
Use the following command to revert back to the current version:
haxelib dev lime
If when you wish to use the dev version again, use the same command followed by the folder location.
Make sure that
neko work from your command-line. Maybe also try
openfl test flash or
openfl test html5 and see if those are properly working?
What OS version do you have?
